JR East has opened a new station near the Ashikaga Flower Park, making it much easier to visit the park that has become famous for the wisteria in late April.
The new station that opened on the 1st of April- named the Ashikaga Flower Park Station - is located just a minute away from the west gate of the park.
Before the opening, visitors using public transportation had to walk about 15 minutes from the adjacent Tomita Station.
