July is a time for many festivals in the Tokyo area so don't miss out!
Iriya Asagao Matsuri (Morning Glory Festival) at the Iriya Kishimojin not too
away from Ueno on the 6th to the 8th.
The Shitamachi Tanabata Matsuri (Star Festival) in the Kappabashi District from the 3rd until the 8th, including
parades in the weekends.
Hozuki Ichi (Ground
Cherry Fair) at Asakusa's Sensoji Temple on the 9th and 10th
The 44th Kagurazaka Matsuri from the 22nd to the 25th with an Awa Odori dancing on the last two days in the old
geisha district of Kagurazaka, adjacent to JR Iidabashi Station.
Last but certainly not least, there is the Sumida River Fireworks Show on the 25th (Saturday), from 7pm to 8:30pm
in the Asakusa District.
