Flowers in April-May

As of writing, the season of the cherry blossoms have pretty much come to an end in central Tokyo, but the Sakura isn't the only one to color the city this time of the year. Azaleas can be seen in various parts of the city (try the Nezu Shrine, Gokokuji Temple or Kiyosumi Gardens for the best shots) and the Fuji (wisteria) with the lavender colored flowers is one of my favorite. The Kameido Tenjin Shrine in the eastern edge of Tokyo is among the most popular places in town to see them. The last week of April/early May is usually the peak viewing time.
