Tokyo Metro, the operator of 9 subway lines in Tokyo will start the sale of a "24 Hour Ticket" from March 26th. The ticket will be good for unlimited rides on the Tokyo Metro for a period of 24 hours from the time of first usage (automatically activated when entering through the gates) and will be on sale for 600 yen at the station.
A convenient 24/48/72 hour ticket will be available for holders of foreign passports at a price of 800/1200 and 1,500 yen each and will also allow access to the 4 Toei operated lines as well. These will be available at selected locations only, including Narita and Haneda Airport.
The current one-day pass (good from the time of purchase until the last train of the night) will be discontinued on March 25th.
