"Ginza Place" opens on Tokyo's most expensive intersection

Ginza Place

A new retail building has opened on the corner of the Ginza intersection, where property prices are listed at 40 million yen per square meter.

The "Ginza Place" Building opened on Sep 24th, with Nissan occupying the first and second floors as a showroom for their latest models.

Sony moves into floors four through six, after their previous base in the adjacent Sukiyabashi Intersection recently closed for renovations.

Ginza Place follows the opening of the Tokyu Plaza as the latest addition in the high-end Ginza shopping area, and yet another retail facility will be opening next spring (April 2017) on the former site of the Matsuzakaya Department store, which will be the largest of its kind in the district.
