The Sounzan - Owakudani section of the Hakone Ropeway will be suspended for maintenance between 10 Jan and 14 Apr. There will be a replacement bus service operating between the two sections.
The closure will not affect the other (and most scenic) sector between Togendai and Owakudani, and visitors will still be able to do the circuit around Hakone using trains, cable cars, boats and bus.
