The public will be allowed free entry to the Inui Street inside the Imperial Palace beginning on November 29th (Saturday) to December 7th (Sunday).

This is an annual event which allows for viewing of the beautiful autumn colors along the 750m route.

Hours are from 9am-3:30pm with last entry at 3pm.

There will be a security check at the entrance with lines sometimes extending up to around 30 minutes. Entry is only from the Sakashita Gate (East side of the Palace) and the route is one-way, with the exit from the Inui Gate which is next to the Kitanomaru Park.

 

During these nine days, the adjacent East Gardens of the Imperial Palace will be open everyday including on Monday and Friday when it is usually closed. Visitors wanting to return towards Tokyo Station could enter the East Gardens through the Kita-Haneabashi Gate and exit from the Ote-Mon. The East Gardens remain open until 4pm with last entry at 3:30.
