7 Day Pass 50,000→53,000 JPY
14 Day Pass 80,000→84,000 JPY
21 Day Pass 100,000→105,000 JPY
If purchased through the official Japan Rail Pass website https://japanrailpass.net/en/, the price will remain the same as now.
There has never been any advantage in purchasing from a third party as the option to book seats in advance is not provided. When purchased from the official site, travelers have access to a website where they can book reserved seats. This option comes in handy if they are traveling in the peak travel period where availability becomes limited at the last minute.
Travelers considering use of the rail pass are also reminded that in most cases buying tickets separately turns out to be the better deal and you would need to do a considerable amount of travel to make the pass worthwhile. The price of the pass went up significantly back in 2023.
