Tokyo Monorail's Hamamatsucho Station - new layout

The construction at the Hamamatsucho Station, the terminus of the Tokyo Monorail, has moved on to a new phase. This has resulted in a change of the station layout, effective June 13th.

The transfer from monorail to the JR Train remains mostly unchanged, just look for the transfer gate. The concourse for the monorail and JR is on the same level and allows for a quick transfer.

To exit to the street level/transfer to the Toei Oedo subway line, there will now be two options:

1) Exit from the Central Gate and take the elevator (very small) or the staircase down to the street level

2) Exit from the North Gate and take the stairs down to the street level

The North Gate will be the quicker route to access the Oedo Line, but it is stairs only for now and requires going down two levels.

The layout is scheduled to change again in the spring of 2027 and completion of the new station will be in 2030.
